Here are some more in progress pictures of the Jimi piece for the Elbo Room. The last two are pretty much how it ended up but I forgot to take a picture of the entire finished piece.

Working on a painting of Jimi Hendrix for the Elbo Room. Here are a couple of the studies. The final will be on the lid of a roadcase that was donated by Wilco. Looking to finish it this weekend so there will be more posts soon.

I thought some of you may be interested in seeing some behind the scenes stuff. Here is one of several Polaroids (remember those?) of Bill Sienkiewicz and a friend acting out scenes from Elektra Assassin for Bill to use as photo reference.

Oates! Sloth! Funk!

For The Blarg -- my first full illustration done in Manga Studio Pro. It ended up taking me 2 1/2 - 3 hours longer to execute than if I had just inked and scanned it. Still not sure what to think of the program. I found Sloth to be getting a little too Charles Burns for my taste. Well, maybe a poor, poor man's Charles Burns. Whatchoo think of the final outcome?
